Hit Points, Physical Attack, Physical Defense, Special Attack, Special Defense, and Speed: Those exist in every Pokémon. Using them masterfully along with the right item, ability, typing, move set, mechanic, team balance, care and love, and of course brilliant thinking mid battle will lead the trainer into victory!
"Crap!!!!"
Erika ran away as fast as she could from the cops. "Leave me alone! I did
nothing wrong!". But each of her steps was very short due to the kimono.
She might be running, but running with a kimono is slower than walking with
normal clothes. This is the true power the kimono. Its real role wasn't to be
beautiful, but actually to restrict the women from escaping. It is similar to
leg cuffs, but under a fake name of beautiful clothing. The samurai of the past
knew what they were doing.
The
officer Taiga shot at her legs. Erika screamed from pain. "Stop crying! It
was a rubber bullet!" called Taiga. "It won't kill you!"
"Taiga!
Stop!" Aaron scolded him. "You could run a bit faster. You didn't
have to shoot her!"
"For
a monster like her I won't even try to run!" Taiga stomped Erika's head
with his dirty shoe.
"Taiga!
You are done here! We'll talk about that in the station later!"
"What
am I accused for?!" cried Erika.
"You
are accused for burning the entire Celadon city down to afar." Aaron
explained. "What is the deal with you guys?! Just two days ago I had a
case exactly like this. You are lucky, Erika. If you lived in Alola then you
would probably have to deal with judge Yagami. But in Kanto there are no harsh
judges like him. You will be sentenced to fifteen years in prison at the worst.
Unlike the Kafot family who had to pay with their life for the exact same thing
you did."
"It
wasn't me it was-"
"So
you too are going to blame a Drampa?! God dammit! Anyway, you are under
arrest!"
Miakko got
a call from Ryu and Waiareas. She was on her way to Fuchsia to meet them up.
Fuchsia City is the home of Kanto's Safari Zone. That place is a great place
for catching different kind of Pokémon. The Safari Zone is a wide area, full
with grasslands and inhabits some very rare creatures. Such as Chansey, Tauros,
Kangaskhan, and lucky ones might even have the chance to find a Dratini, which
its evolved form Dragonite is one of the strongest creatures of Kanto.
"I've
been a fool…" Miakko heard a deep voice of someone singing. "And I've
been childish…" "I threw away my dreams…" "Just because I
saw someone hot… or that's what I've thought…" "I'm not good at all,
no good at all. Why did I lose them to Moho Sama…"
"What
a beautiful song…" someone in the crowd dropped a tear and threw his cash
over the husband and wife who had a street show in Fuchsia. Waiareas and Ryu
earned some nice cash to their journey.
"Miakko!
Come here!" her mother waved for her as she noticed her.
"Ryu!
Waiareas! You were singing this song? I didn't know you were good at
singing."
"No,
it wasn't us." said Waiareas. "It was him. He suddenly started
talking out of nowhere and mentioned someone Moho Sama in his songs…" he
pointed at his Fuecoco.
"Moho
Sama is a king! For him I must sing!" said Fuecoco. "In order to use
Torch Song as Skeledirge I must start now so nothing will not go wrong!"
"What
is that Torch Song?" asked Miakko.
"A
powerful move! My Special Attack, this what it will improve!"
"Anyway,
why did you call me?" asked Miakko.
"Can't
friends hung out with each other?" asked Waiareas. "We just wanted to
have fun. But if you want a reason, then Ryu wants to capture one rare Pokémon
in the Safari Zone. We want your help."
"That
Pokémon called Dratini." said Ryu. "I saw a picture of it and it
looks majestic. I wish to add one to my team."
"I'll
help you. But haven't you caught some other Pokémon? Show me."
"Then…
go!" called Ryu and threw a Pokeball, the only one Miakko hasn't seen yet.
It was a canine Pokémon with orange fur and black stripes. A Growlithe! So she
did catch one eventually. Interesting! Waiareas threw his Pokeballs and
revealed two new Pokemon he caught; a Pidgeotto and a Kabuto. I can safely
assume that Nog and Matoi gave him that Kabuto. But I don't wish to know what
they asked him to do for it… those psychopaths….
"Finally!
A Dratini!" called Ryu out of excitement after two long hours of fishing
at the Safari Zone. The family teamed up together, defeated this serpent like
Pokémon, and then Ryu caught it with a Great Ball.
"Oh…
so now a have a new friend in our team, it will make true our dream!"
"Enough
with the rhymes for now, Fuecoco…" sighed Ryu. The three decided for the
Furukawas next GYM badge at Fuchsia City; The poison gym of Kanto. Then they
noticed one girl sitting near the edge of the lake. She looked sad, but even
more, she was bored. She had a purple hair tied with a high ponytail, and wore
a net shirt beneath her ninja like clothing.
"Janine!
I finally found you! What the hell are you doing?" her father scolded her.
"You promised that you will succeed me! How the hell am I supposed to join
the Elite Four with no one taking responsibility for the GYM?! I already made a
contract with Lance!"
"Pokémon
battles are boring! Or at least GYM battles! All of the challengers just use a
super effective move and call it day! What is fun about that?!"
"This
is no matter of fun or not! This is a job! You can't back off now!"
"I
told you that I want to be a clothing designer! Not a GYM leader!"
"Show
some respect kid!" Koga was finally on his breaking point. "After all
of the things I have done for you, you still say that?!"
Ryu stood
up and interrupted their conversation. "Sir, I'm sorry. I heard your
conversation. Can I help with something?"
"Of
course you did… we were too loudly. I don't blame you. Miss…?"
"Furukawa.
Listen, I am a mother to a girl as well. That's why it is difficult for me seeing
parents who have trouble with their children."
"What
do you think we should then?" asked Koga.
"I
and my husband are actually trainers as well. We go for the Tag Challenge. What
if you and your daughter will fight against us, it could show your daughter how
fun GYM battles can be." she gave her suggestion. "We also won't use
any super effective moves in order to defeat you."
"Thank
you." thanked Koga. "Janine. You've heard that, right? Give it a
chance. Miss Furukawa, we'll wait for you at the GYM for our double
battle."
On their
way to the GYM, Miakko was interested to hear about Ryu's and Waiareas's
daughter. What a slip of the tongue, Ryu, you have to fix that up.
"Ryu,
I didn't know you two had a daughter. Where is she? How old is she?" asked
Miakko.
"She
is six years old." said Ryu. She tried to get out of the mess she got
herself into.
"And
you left her for a year long journey…?"
"Well…"
"She
is dead." Waiareas found the laziest excuse he could ever think of. Miakko
didn't research further. She knew that when they'll want to talk about it,
they'll talk. But now it isn't the time for that.
"I
and my daughter will use one Pokémon each. Each of you two are allowed to use
only one Pokémon each." said Koga. Miakko watched the battle along with
her Chikorita. Double battles are very different than single battles. Some
strategies that work in singles don't work in doubles. Nevertheless, Miakko
still can learn from that battle. "Go Golbat!" Koga summoned his
giant poisonous bat with extremely large mouth. His daughter and summoned
Swalot, the giant purple of probably shit or something like that. Waiareas
summoned his Kabuto, while Ryu summoned her Growlithe. Right away, Growlithe's
ability, Intimidate has activated. The ability lowers the Physical Attack of
the opposing Pokémon. It is great ability in singles, but even better in
doubles, as it lowers the stats of both foes. Then, right away, Ryu called back
her Growlithe and summoned her Dratini.
'I see…
this is good strategy Miss Furukawa. By calling back your Growlithe it means
you will able to use Intimidate twice.' thought Koga. 'But don't think that is
going to be that easy!'. "Golbat, Poison Fang! Use it on the Dratini!".
Dratini's Hit Points were on verge of vanishing, still in conscious though. But
then, something else happened, it got poisoned by the move. Yeah it is dead. 'She
sacrificed her own Dratini for that strategy. Some may think it is cruel, but I
know, and her Dratini knows, it is not out of cruelty. I just hope that Janine
will see how great strategy it actually is.'. Waiareas ordered his Kabuto to
use Leer. This move lowers the Physical Defense. Similar to Intimidate, it is
better on double battles, as it lowers the stat of both foes. On singles
however, it is not as good. It is much better to increase your own Physical
ATTACK than lower the foe's stat.
"Bulldoze!"
called Janine. It is a ground type move; which means, it is super effective
against Kabuto's rock type, but also doesn't do any damage to Golbat who is a
flying type. Indeed, this move hits everything! Kabuto was about to faint.
Ryu
summoned her Growlithe. Intimidate again baby! 'Physical moves will be useless…
I don't have to worry about that Growlithe now… This Kabuto is dangerous. They
may have promised that they won't use super effective moves, but I can't trust
that…' Koga thought. 'I'll change my strategy to Special moves…'. "Golbat!
Use Absorb on Kabuto!"
"Sorry!"
said Waiareas "But I'm going first! Kabuto, use Aqua Jet". Koga was
sure he is going to attack his Golbat. "On the Swalot!". Aqua Jet is
a weak move, but most of the time attacks first.
'On the
Swalot?! Wait, no way! They have another plan?!'. Koga's Absorb destroyed
Kabuto.
"Growlithe!
Retaliate!". called Ryu. It attacked and completely destroyed Golbat in
one hit.
'No way…
They forced me to focus on the Kabuto… Retaliate attacks at extremely strong
power right after a team member faints… How they could plan this?! They didn't
even say a word to each other since the start of the battle… They must have a
rich history with each other. They know their partner extremely well.' Koga was
out of the battle. 'But, this is a good experience for Janine. She is now has
to face against two Pokémon alone.'
Janine
used Bulldoze again. However, unlike the previous time, it didn't do enough
damage to the Growlithe, due to having its Physical Attack being lowered two
times. At this point, this battle was already over. Janine couldn't defeat both
of Ryu's Growlithe, and Waiareas' second Pokémon, Pidgeotto. "So, what do
you say Janine? Aren't GYM battles can be fun and strategic?" asked her
father. "You will succeed me, right?"
"No. GYM battles are still boring. I'm going to be a designer."
