Hit Points, Physical Attack, Physical Defense, Special Attack, Special Defense, and Speed: Those exist in every Pokémon. Using them masterfully along with the right item, ability, typing, move set, mechanic, team balance, care and love, and of course brilliant thinking mid battle will lead the trainer into victory!
The Ice
Type GYM Leader Grusha of Paldea did his usual routine; Snow Gliding! He loved
skiing and did it almost every day. But today something was different…
"Grusha!
Stop!!!!! It is dangerous!" his wife, Divorced called.
"What
are you saying?! I can't hear you!" he said.
At early
morning it was snowing massively, meaning more snow, meaning it was more
dangerous today for skiing. Of course, Grusha wasn't an idiot. He knew how to
read the terrain and knew when it was dangerous to glide and when it wasn't. He
knew that it wasn't dangerous for him with his skills to glide. However, he
didn't take in consideration one thing…
"I
just have a bad feeling! Please stop!"
"Divorced,
you are such a great wife. But don't worry; it is fine! Can't you trust
me?!"
"I
can… but…"
At the top
of the mountain there was trainer who tried to catch a shiny Beartic.
"I'll catch you!!! Dickhead!!!!"
Beartic's
shiny form looked almost the same as its regular form. The trainer used Rock
Slide again and again at any Beartic he could find. Eventually… something went
go wrong…. Not for the trainer, but for Grusha and Divorced.
"Shit!!!!
An avalanche!!!!" Grusha glided as fast as he could, and tried to save
Divorced. But he wasn't fast enough, and they were killed. Another GYM Leader
died today… The Pokemon League had to find a replacement for him as soon as
possible.
Ryme
entered to the meeting. Some of Paldea's GYM leader, Elite Four, and Champion
Geeta were there. "Grusha is dead." Ryme said bluntly.
"Another
one?!!!!" Hassel smashed the table. "What the hell?!"
"That's
the reason we are gathering." Geeta explained. "To find a replacement
for him, and as soon as possible."
"GYM
leaders keep dying! It is like that since the Pokémon League started one year
and half ago!" Katy screamed. "Iono was killed just a few days
ago!"
"It
is as if we are part of Arceus' game or something!" Hassel smashed another
table.
I did
nothing!
"No.
I believe in Arceus." Brassius said. "We won't do such a thing. It is
like we are inside a game, beyond god's control. Someone beyond Arceus plays
his own game. Arceus is probably part of his game as well."
"If
there is someone like that, then fuck him!" Ryme cursed the monster.
"Ryme!
What are you doing?! He'll kill you for cursing him!" Katy was worried.
"Then
he can just try!" Two seconds later Ryme got a heart attack and passed
away.
Miakko was
planning to challenge Grusha, the Ice Type GYM leader, but once she and her
parents reached the GYM Grusha's funeral was held. They didn't waste much time
and went to the closest GYM of Ryme, the Ghost Type GYM leader but she was dead
as well. She was told that a new GYM was opened, by someone named Cassiopeia. Cassiopeia
didn't have any specialty but they mastered a different kind of specialty which
was kept as a secret. On her way, Miakko battled a group of Bisharp with her
own Bisharp. Miakko's Bisharp knew something Miakko didn't and wished to
challenge the group. That battle evolved it to a new form called Kingambit. She
and her parents evolved some of their other Pokémon as well.
As they
reached the GYM Waiareas and Ryu regonized the place. "Team Star…"
Waiareas mumbled.
"Papa,
what are you talking about?"
"We
were taught about this in Uva academy." Ryu said. "There once was a
team named Team Star. They were all trainer who were bullied in school, and
they punished every bully they've seen. Their leader was someone named Penny.
However, Penny knew their deeds were wrong and decided to shut down the
organization. Director Clavell felt such a shame that his student were led to
do something he could solve himself, but he didn't know that the bullying was
so serious, and he blamed himself for the incident."
"What
happened next?"
"He
didn't punish them." Waiareas said. "But he gave Penny some jobs to
fix her mistake. Cassiopeia was Penny's code name. Penny is the leader of this
GYM."
Penny
welcomed them. They didn't waste time and started the battle, four on four
battle. Miakko summoned her Azumarill, while Penny summoned Glaceon, an Ice Type
Pokemon. Miakko was glad that despite missing the Ice Type GYM she still got to
battle against an ice type Pokémon. "Use Rollout!" Miakko ordered.
Rollout is a weak Rock type move which gets stronger each time it used until
the user leaves the battle, or missing the target. However, that didn't matter,
as Penny's Glaceon was faster and used Freeze-Dry. Miakko didn't understand
what is the point of using an Ice move on a Water type Pokémon, but knew it
won't defeat her Azumarill.
… Or so
she thought… Freeze-Dry is an Ice type move with unique effect; it is effective
on Water type Pokémon, and not ineffective against them. Azumarill was defeated
in single hit. Miakko then summoned her Scizor. Miakko assumed that Glaceon
can't do much against Scizor, therefor she used Swords Dance which increased
Scizor's Physical Attack. To Miakko's surprise, Penny used another Ice type
move; Icy Wind which barely did any damage, but decreased Scizor's speed.
Miakko had no choice, she had to depend on Scizor's Bullet Punch which she used
as her next move, and defeated the Glaceon. Now it is three on three.
"Go,
Leafeon!" Penny summoned the Grass type Pokémon. "You've probably
realized it by now; I'm a master of using Eeveelutions."
'Why did
she use a Pokémon weak against mine?' Miakko was thinking. 'Wait… she can't use
other one… I read somewhere, but Flareon and Jolteon have very weak defense
stat, meaning they won't survive against my Bullet Punch. Leafeon has high
defense stat; it is one of the few that can survive.' "Go! Bullet
Punch!"
Penny
swung her arm "Terastalize!" Leafeon was shining "Change into a
Fire-Type!". Lefeaon received the Bullet Punch which didn't do much
damage. "Tera Blast!!!!!". Miakko never heard about the move, but it
attacked as a Fire Type move which defeated Scizor with one hit. "Let me
explain; Terastalization is a technique that changes the user's type. Tera
Blast is move that works when the user is Terastalized and changes its type to
the type of the user."
Miakko was
shocked for few moments and then said "Amazing!"
"Wait…
amazing, you said? Most of the trainers from overseas will say it is unfair as
most of them don't know about it."
"It
really is! For such battles I wanted to become a trainer!"
"You
are so much like Nemona…"
"Nemona?!
The previous Champion who beat Champion Geeta?! You know her?!"
"We
are good friends. Although she is a bit too much crazy about battles sometimes.
So, let's continue!"
Miakko
faced a huge problem against this Fire type Leafeon. Grass type is the best coverage
that a Fire type Pokémon can have. Fire Pokémon are weak against Water, Rock,
and Ground. Grass is effective against all of those types. Miakko decided to go
with this one. "Go! Chandelure!"
'She got
me… My Leafeon can't do much against her Pokémon…' "Leafeon! Use Leaf
Blade!" Penny ordered her Leafeon to use the Grass type move which didn't
do much damage. Miakko's idiot candle used Shadow Ball did great damage despite
being neutral. It was due to the candle's high Special Attack, and Leafeon's
low Special Defense. The two used again the same moves, which ended up with
Leafeon's defeat. Two on two!
Penny sent
Flareon. The candle couldn't do much against it, with Flareon's high Special
Defense, and with only neutral moves. The candle used Shadow Ball which did a
bit of damage. Flareon surprised Miakko and used Bite, a weak Physical Dark
Type move, but due to the super effective damage, and Flareon's high Physical
Attack stat it did a great damage and defeated the candle. Miakko was down to
her last Pokémon. She had a problem; the Pokemon she had brought with her were
Ursaluna, Krookodile, and Tsareena. As she didn't know Penny's last Pokémon
each one of them was a risk. She decided to go with this one. "Go!
Tsareena!" she sent her Grass Type queen. 'I hope it will work…' she was
thinking. "Use Trop Kick!"
"Grass
Type move?!" Penny was surprised. "Flareon! Use Fire Fang!"
"Trop
Kick's special ability! It lowers the target's Physical Attack"
As
Tsareena was faster, her Trop Kick hit first, and Flareon's Fire Fang didn't do
enough damage. They used again the same moves, but now Flareon was even weaker.
Penny decided to sacrifice Flareon with one last hit, with a move she didn't
want to use as it will make it faint. As Flareon was down to quarter of its
health, its item, Salac Berry activated which increased its Speed. Penny used
Flare Blitz and knew the move will make Flareon faint, but it will also make
Tsareena faint as well.
…. So she
thought… Tsareena survived the Flare Blitz with very low of health. Miakko
anticipated that something like that will happen and ordered her Tsareena to
use Synthesis which regained its health. One on one!
Penny's
final Pokémon was Vaporeon. Then Miakko used Power Whip, a very strong Grass
type move, and it defeated Vaporeon with one hit. Miakko has won, she defeated
Penny. She received her badge and decided to go to her next GYM.
"Miakko!
Wait! I'll go with you!" Penny said.
"Don't
you have your GYM to take care of?" Ryu asked.
"Team
Star can take care of it. They are just as strong as me. I'm interested to see
Miakko's next match."
Meanwhile….
"Ryme…
why did you have to die…" GYM leader Kofu mourned on her.
"Boss!
Don't curse the one who is beyond Arceus' control! He will kill you! Please!
Don't do it!"
"I
won't. Please! The one in heaven! I'll do whatever you want! Just don't kill
me!"
…. Five
second later….
Kofu got a
heart attack and died.
I don't
understand what's going on!!!! I didn't do it!!!! I'm starting to believe there
is someone who even controls me…
