Hit Points, Physical Attack,
Physical Defense, Special Attack, Special Defense, and Speed: Those exist in
every Pokémon. Using them masterfully along with the right item, ability,
typing, move set, mechanic, team balance, care and love, and of course brilliant
thinking mid battle will lead the trainer into victory!
The
matches for the next round of battles were chosen. All of them were set to be
at the same day; the 20th of August. Two days break were given to all of the
participants. Miakko's battle was the third in the day. Alicia told Miakko she
won't able to watch her match from the crowd due to Ashley's birth, but she
watched her on the television and cheered for her.
Miakko's
opponent was someone named Tachat Sama. I believe I heard this weird name… not
sure from where and when… but I feel like I was tied in ropes when I met him… But
I never heard the "Sama" part. The only one I know who had this
surname is my boy Homo Sama, but it can't be him.
"Can
I share my past with you?" Tachat said to Miakko before the battle
started.
"Sure,
if you want."
"I'm
actually a video game character."
"He
is fucked up in the head or something?" Nog said.
"He
sure is." Matoi said.
"No,
he might actually be completely sane." Aaron said. "I recognize him,
but with very bad graphics."
"You
are not serious…" Shirr said. "You are…" she said due to Aaron's
silence.
"Shirr,
you are a gamer. You should know him. He is from the game 'Anal Fantasy'. He is
one of the romance options." Aaron said.
"I
dropped the game after one hour. It was so bad."
"He
appears right at the start of the game!"
"So
my memory probably made me forget in order to protect myself."
"You
are… a video game character?" Miakko asked.
"I
know it is hard to believe. But hear me out. Once there was a game named 'Anal
Fantasy'. The player takes the role of 'Homo Sama', and I was one of his
romance options. But before this game was released in this world it was a
different reality of the real Homo Sama. It was created by the gods of that
world in order to challenge Homo Sama before taking his revenge on Hikaru."
…. Now I
get it… Loki and the others have sent some people from my world into this
world. It explains why Ace and Hamly were here… screw them…
"Who
is Hikaru?" Miakko asked.
"That
isn't important. The thing is, Homo Sama chose me as his romance option. He
saved me from the evil monsters of the game, and proposed me."
"How
romantic!" Matoi said "Homo Sama must be hot."
He is hot…
yes… after all I put my best effort on creating him.
"But
I refused to his proposal."
"Asshole!!!!!"
Matoi shouted "He sound like a husband material!!!!!"
"You
see… in order to get into my route he had get the right number of Stamina
points. But Homo Sama chose a way that will make me reject him. That's how I
was programed to do. Then the game was over and I was put into sleep. After
some time, I found myself in this world. I was no longer an AI; I had my
feelings and desires. I decided to call myself "Tachat Sama", as I
decided to marry Homo Sama even if we are apart. After some time I found out
that Anal Fantasy was created as game in this world. I could romance
myself."
"Get
to the point…" Miakko urged him.
"But
Anal Fantasy was bombed with the reviews. Everyone hated the game, very few
bought it, and those who played started hate me because I had the same
appearance and name as Tachat from the game. Well… technically it was me."
He kept talking "But the worst came two weeks ago; with the release of
Salamence's Age 4. Everyone hated this game as well; mainly because of the
character "Taash", one of the most hated characters in gaming
history. At this point 'Anal Fantasy' was forgotten, but due to our similar
names, and our homosexuality, everyone thinks I'm Tassh! Even though my game
was created before her! Everyone hates me!!!!!!! I just wanted to share that my
life sucks." He erupted in crying and cried for five minutes. "Okay!
We can battle now! Thanks for listening me!"
"I
summon you! Skarmory!" Tachat called and summoned his Steel/ Flying type
Pokémon.
"I go
with you! Scizor!" Miakko called 'Scizor can do nothing against it… Its
defenses are too high; I have no other choice but to switch…' She was thinking
and then said "Come back Scizor! Go! Toxtricity!" she summoned her
Electric Type musician frog.
"Skarmory!
Spikes!" Tachat ordered. A layer of Spikes appeared on Miakko's side of
the field. Any time she'll switch she'll damage her entering Pokémon, with the
exception of Flying type or Pokémon with the ability Levitate.
"Overdrive!"
Miakko ordered her stupid frog to use the Electric Type move.
"Come
back!" Tachat called "Go! Blissey!". Blissey was barely damaged.
"That's…"
Shirr called "Skarmbliss Technique!"
"Skarmbliss?"
Brazle asked.
"It
used to be very popular in the past, nowadays it is less effective" Shirr
said. "You know that in the past all Fighting type used to be only
Physical, and Electric Type and Fire Type used to be only Special, right?
Skarmory's Special Defense is low, and its Physical Defense is high, but that's
doesn't matter; because in the only super effective moves against it were
Special. The moment the trainer sees an Electric Type or Fire Type it can
switch to Blissey with the high Special Defense. For Blissey it is the same but
the Fighting Type and the Physical Defense. The trainer can just switch to
Skarmory. Nowadays it is less effective, due to how moves have evolved; an
Electric Type can be Physical, and Fighting type can be Special."
'However…
for Miakko it is still an issue…' Waiareas was thinking 'Miakko's Fire Types
and Electric types are only Special attackers!'
'Miakko…
find a solution quickly. You can't switch too many times due to the Spikes.'
Ryu was thinking.
'I can't
switch too much… Therefore there is only one thing I can do…' Miakko was
thinking "Taunt!"
"Thinking
about forcing my Blissey to use non Status moves?! That's fine! Because I'm
going to attack anyway!"
'That's
exactly what I need you to do!' Miakko was thinking.
"Psychic!"
Tachat ordered. It did a critical hit and defeated the ugly frog in one hit.
Miakko
summoned her Tsareena. It was damaged by the Spikes.
'That
Pokémon… it isn't a Fighting Type… but it uses many Fighting moves. That fool!
It is a Grass type! The perfect victim to my Skarmory! It won't able to do shit
against it! Then it will be forced to switch if it doesn't want to receive
Brave Bird to the death!' Tachat was thinking "In the name of Homo Sama!
Come back Blissey! Go! Skarmory!"
"That's
exactly what I wanted you do!" Miakko called. "Zor- I mean Tsareena,
Flamethrower!"
The flame
burns the metal of that ugly bird and defeated it.
"Cheater!!!!!"
Tachat called.
"Tachat!
She is not!" his friend Wallito called.
"That's
Zoroark. It can change its appearance to other Pokémon in the user party."
Another friend, Liver called.
"Liver!
I told him! Shut up!"
"Wallito
shut up! You are not cool!!!!! I'm the real man!"
So they
are fighting in this world as well… huh?
'He knows
it is Zoroark. But does he know which one? It even caught me off guard. It is
still beyond me how Miakko had the access to that Zoroark." Leon was
thinking.
'Good. His
Strategy has failed. He cannot use Skarmory anymore. No more lairs of Spikes,
unless he has more Spikes users.' Miakko was thinking.
"Come
back! Blissey!" Tachat called. "So… what you'll do. The point still
stands, you can't defeat it unless you'll switch." He smiled.
'He is
right. And I can't switch too much… his whole goal is making me switch. Even if
Skarmory is gone.'
'I may have
mocked her. But I'm in pinch as well… The only attacking move I have on Blissey
is Psychic. Which Zoroark is immune to… But Blissey can keep the strategy going
on!'
"Zoroark!
Come Back! Go! Tsareena!" Miakko summoned her real Tsareena.
"That's
exactly what I wanted!" Tachat called "Heal Pulse! Blissey! Say
It!!!!! God! Is! A! Mouse!!!!!!!!!!!" Blissey exploded and killed herself.
"And in return… Skarmory comes back!"
The next
Pokemon that Tachat summoned was Toxapex, the Water/ Poison type. Miakko
ordered her Tsareena to use Zen Headbutt which did super effective damage, but
wasn't enough to defeating it due to Toxapex' high defense. Toxapex used Toxic
and planned to kill it slowly with poison.
"Zen
Headbutt again!"
"Protect!"
Tsareena
was damaged by the poison again and couldn't damage the monster. There was
nothing she could do but attacking. And so, she ordered to use Zen Headbutt for
the third time, and was very close to defeating it.
"Pain
Split!" Toxapex healed itself from Tsareena's Hit Points, and so, Tsareena
was defeated from the poison.
Miakko
summoned her Espeon. It defeated the Toxapex with Super Effective Psychic.
Tachat's
next Pokémon was Alomomola, a Water type Pokémon. Miakko ordered her Espeon to
use Psyshock which is a move that uses the user's Special Attack to hit the
opponent's Physical Defense. Miakko didn't know at this point that Alomomola's
Special Defense is much lower than its Physical Defense, and it didn't do
enough damage. Tachat ordered his Alomomola to use Wish, a move that heals the
Party Member on the field at the next phase.
"Come
back, Alomomola! Go! Skarmory!"
"Power
Gem!" Miakko ordered. It hit it strongly, but it wasn't enough to defeat
the Skarmory and so, it was healed by the Wish.
"It
is a shame!" Uzib called "It was very close to beating it!"
"And
now he is going to use Spikes again once it regained its health!" Aaron
said.
"No.
Not this time." Ryu said.
"Espeon!"
Miakko ordered "Power Gem Again!"
"The
next layer of Spikes is coming! Skarmory! Use Spikes!" but nothing
appeared on Miakko's side of the field. "What?! Where is the next layer of
Spikes?!"
Miakko
smiled "You should look closer." Tachat searched for it and moved his
eye balls. "It is on YOUR side of the field."
"WHAT?!!!!!!!!"
"Espeon's
ability! Magic Bounce! It reflects any Status move back to the user!"
Miakko explained "Now! Power Gem!" She ordered and so the Skarmory
was defeated.
"Go!
My next Pokemon! Obstagoon!" Tachat called and summoned the Dark/ Normal
Type Pokémon.
"Espeon!
Come Back!" she retreated her psychic cat "Go! Scizor!"
"I
knew you'll do that!! Fire Punch!!" with the four times super effective
move, Scizor was defeated.
"Go!
Espeon!" Miakko called.
"Use
Throa-" but then he stopped to think 'What if it is Zoroark? Zoroark is
Dark Type… using Dark Type move won't be enough to defeating it. The damage
they took was exactly the same… by the layer of Spikes… Damn those mind games!
It is Zoroark. There is no logic in summoning Espeon. But what if she makes me
think it is Zoroark while it is actually Espeon?! God Damn!!!!!!' he then
decided "Brick Break!!!!"
Espeon
attacked first with Flamethrower and did a decent damage "As I knew!"
Tachat said "Zoroark!!!! You are done for!" but the Brick Break
didn't do any damage. "Cheater!!!!!!!"
"Tachat…
her Zoroark is Past Time Zoroark which is Ghost/ Normal Type." Liver said.
"You
asshole!" Wallito punched Liver "I wanted to explain this to
him!"
"So
that's how you it huh?! If Homo Sama didn't meet us at Rahab then I would have
won the 'Black Swordsman' title! You kid!" he punched him back.
Zoroark
attacked again with Flamethrower and defeated Obstagoon.
Tachat was
about to explode "Your Zoroark fooled me not once, but twice! This thing
should be illegal! You are going down! Go, my strongest Pokemon! Salamence!"
he summoned his dragon. He clicked his Mega Stone "I came prepared. I've
seen how strong your Mega Charizard was in your previous battle, but there is
no chance it is going to defeat Mega Salamance. The type advantage, the speed,
the defenses, it is all going against you! Mega Evolution!" Salamence's
stats increased; mainly its Physical Defense and Speed. "Dragon
Claw!" he ordered. Zoroark was defeated in one hit.
Miakko
summoned her Espeon 'Sorry…' she said to herself in her mind, hoping Espeon
will understand 'But your defeat is our only chance… you know that. We've built
that strategy together.'
"What
Miakko is doing?!" Nog called "She should just summon Charizard and
get over with that! Charizard can do it! He is strong!". Espeon was
defeated. "See?! I told you!"
Miakko
looked at the Pokeball of her final Pokémon "Do it! Kingambit!" she
summoned her Dark/ Steel type Pokémon. "Kingambit's Special Ability! It get
stronger for each fainted member in my team!"
"What
the hell?!" Tachat called.
"Scizor,
Zoroark, Espeon, Tsareena, and Toxtricity. Each one of them will give ten
percent power boost to Kingambit."
"Fifty
percent power boost?!" Matoi called.
"But…
my Mega Salamance is still faster! It will end it one hit!
Earthquake!!!!!" he ordered. The super effective move hit Kingambit; close
to defeating it, but it wasn't enough.
"Kowtow
Cleave!!!!" Miakko ordered. Mega Salamence was defeated. All there was
left is Alomomola which couldn't do much due to its support role. Miakko has
won.
At the end
of the day this was the outcome of the battles. Miakko, Shirr, Katsuya, Sayoko,
Brazle, Ami have won. Two people won as well, their names were Eliran and Roy.
Sayoko was managed to win only with two Pokemon; her Hydreigon, and her
Flamigo.
"Now,
we have a special announcement!" Lance called "The battles for the
quarter-finals have been decided. Look at the screen right there!"
