"Akira!
Jacob! Run for your lives!!!!!" called Rabbi after he realized he is going
to be in jail forever. He heard something comes, but couldn't see what it is
due to the darkness.
"Are
you sure you want those three, Milady?" a voice of an old man was heard
from the darkness.
"They
are perfect for us." A voice of a girl that sounds annoying for me was
heard. "Those three have nothing to lose.". Akira was able to see one
prominent color from the darkness; the girl's pink hair.
"Who
are you?!" asked Akira in a threatening tone. "Are you with the
police?!"
"No,
I'm not." The girl answered.
"Then
we are out of here. Let's go, Rabbi, Jacob."
"You
think you can go?" smiled the girl in a fiendish smile. "Even if
you'll run away from the police, you have a worse enemy, such as Moho
Sama."
"Homo
Sama won't do anything for us. He is our friend!" laughed Rabbi.
"But
he killed us…" Jacob recalled at the time that happened.
"Wrong!
I don't know who Homo Sama is, but he is NOT Moho Sama. You three just killed
three people. Moho Sama will find you, and kill you right away."
"What
are you after?" Akira realized that they are screwed, and tried to
negotiate.
"I
can save you from him. But you'll work under me. Well… how about that; I'll
give you the chance to meet GOD!"
"Can
you really do that?" asked Rabbi.
"I
can; but not now. I'll have to get permission from my father first. It will
take time." The girl trapped the three with her words. "I guess I can
start by giving you my name; Rotsecna. That is my name."
Another
day for the Furukawas. Miakko decided that she want to challenge the new
Dark-Type GYM. They walked in the desert for hours under the scorching sun.
Finally! They reached the village that they heard where the GYM is. The village
was small and isolated. It was surrounded by a vast sea of sand, and not close
to anything. They went inside the GYM and they realized! There is no GYM! WHAT
DA FUCK?!!! Fucking shit!
"Water!!!!!!"
cried a man was almost completely bones "Give me something to
drink!!!!".
"Sorry…
We are out of supply…" Ryu apologized.
The man
passed out. "Move away!" called someone with a stretcher.
"You!" he called for Waiareas. "Can you help me? We must save
that person's life! Come with me!"
"Of
course!"
Hospital!
Or at least the weird thing that poor village call a "hospital"
because they have no budget to even rightfully call it a "hospital".
….. That
man is dead! Fucking shit!
"May
your soul rest in peace…" the doctor covered the dead man with a sheet and
prayed.
"You
should to explain them!" A very old man came in. He was barely walking,
and had to do so with a cane. He was already 115 years old, and obviously anyone
who knew him as child was already dead.
"Grandfather
Sam! You should rest!" the doctor came to help his grandfather.
"Enough
with me! Tell them! Those travelers are the only chance to save our
village!"
"I'll
do that. Just go back to bed. You could break an arm or a leg if you won't be
careful.". The doctor went to other room and explained the story to the
Furukawas, right after he took Sam to the bed.
"Well…
I'll tell the story from what I know about." told the doctor. "None
of the residents in the village have experience about the full story, aside
from my grandfather." "As you can see, this desert is extremely hot.
We are surrounded by deep sea of sand. Apparently, it wasn't like that in the
past. As grandfather told me once, this place was actually a marsh."
"This
place… a marsh? I can't really believe that…" Miakko had some doubts.
"Honestly,
I couldn't believe that at first as well. I knew that village as a desert all
of my life. But that's what my grandfather said. I can believe him though, for
one main reason; this place has always been a desert for me, but through my
life it became hotter. I'm 39 years old by the way, to put it on
perspective."
"Well,
it makes sense. The whole world has a climate change these days." said
Miakko.
"True.
But here it is more extreme. The temperatures are vastly different. While the
world's temperatures changed on one or two degrees during the last 100 years,
here the temperatures changed three degrees just in the last two years. Each
year it becomes impossible to live here."
"Why
don't you leave then? Is it something about your heritage?" asked Ryu.
"It
has nothing to do with that. We just can't. We can't use cars on that deep sand.
The only way is to ride on a Zebstrika. That's the only Pokémon of
transportation we have here. The issue came that as the heat became hotter;
this desert became the perfect habitat for Krookodiles, which easily hunt
Zebstrika due to the type advantage. We are completely stuck at our own
village. Until recently people gave us some food and water supply, but it all
changed when one thing happened; we were forgotten."
"Is
it because of Divoc?" asked Waiareas.
"Exactly!
Nowadays we are almost out of resources. The poor can't afford them, and only
the rich can survive. Well… "rich" on a perspective of course… the
"real rich" people already have left. So it is more like "the
least poor"." "In order to make people come to help, we sent a
fake news post that the Dark Type GYM is on our village. Nobody believed it,
aside from you. Everyone knows that the real GYM is on Castelia City. Please!
Help us! I'm begging of you!"
"What
can we do?" asked Ryu. "I don't think we can change a climate
change."
"You
can! That's because according to my grandfather the cause is a Pokémon.
Apparently, the reason this marsh was changed into desert was due to a Pokémon
a called Larvesta, which is locked at one dungeon at the desert. Please, defeat
it, and the climate might be changed back into normal! That asshole has ruined
the life of the whole village! Here is the key for the dungeon!"
The
Furukawas reached the dungeon they were told about. They had to walk only
around five kilometers to get there; a very short walk. The dungeon was buried
under the sands. It is the time to dig a bit! They finally entered the dark
dungeon. Waiareas called his stupid singing crocodile to light the place with
his flames. They saw the narrow hallway which was patterned by some Pokémon paintings
such as the tadpole Pokémon Tympole, and the Bug type Venipede. It implied to
them that this place was a marsh in the past as they were told. Miakko looked
carefully at the paintings and touched the walls. She started to feel a
headache and saw something "Oh… so that's Miakko. She is so cute.
Congratulations!" "Thank you, Shirei!".
"Mama…
who is Shirei?" Miakko asked.
"Why
do you ask? And why did you remember him after all of this time?" Ryu
asked.
"I
don't know… but it happened when I touched the walls."
"He
is a friend of us from our original world. Let's get going."
They
reached the end of the dungeon after a while. A Pokémon was floating there
which was… not Larvesta! A big moth with six red wings, and blue eyes. It
looked very similar to Larvesta, but it wasn't it.
"Humans!
Why are you here?! Be gone!" Volcarona threatened. "Otherwise I'll
have to destroy you as well!"
"Oh…
he can talk… no need to teach him how to when he'll join us!" Skeledirge
said.
"You
already decided he is going to join…" Waiareas sighed.
"I
don't see why not… you'll have to kill him if you won't."
Something
told Ryu inside her heart that Volcarona isn't the only one to blame in this
story. "Waiareas, Miakko, take cover. I'll handle it!" She gave them
all of her Pokeballs, aside from empty one.
"Human!
Do you think you really have a chance to fight alone?!"
"Is
mama going to be alright? This Volcarona looks strong. Fighting alone against a
Pokémon…" Miakko was worried.
Waiareas
smiled "Miakko, you've never seen your mom fight, right? Do not worry, she
is strong. In fact, she is in fact strong as I am."
Miakko
looked carefully at the battle.
Volcarona
shot a Flamethrower. Ryu dodged quickly and swiftly. The moth did so again and
again but failed every single time. "Volcarona, tell me your part in the
story. Why do you that to the villagers?" Ryu asked kindly.
"There
is no need to explain that! Humans are evil! You are one of them! They will
milk everything from you and then will betray you! I had enough! Be gone before
I'll have to completely destroy you!"
"No.
I won't move. Volcarona, I don't know what the villagers have done to you. I
just want to understand your part in the story."
"Shut
up!!!!! Human!!!!" he shot another flamethrower. Ryu decided not to dodge.
She received the fiery flame at its full strength.
110 years
ago… that village that I don't know why it has no name for fuck sake…
"We
are going to see history here!" the Village Elder held the moth Pokémon
Larvesta at his hands and showed it to the crowd of the villagers.
"What's
going to happen?" the five years old Sam asked.
"As
you can see, this Larvesta will save us! It is very difficult to grow crops at
this marsh. But by changing the weather a bit it can be the difference! Pray
for lord Larvesta! By using Sunny Day this place will become hotter enough to
help us! We are going to lock it in the dungeon. Don't forget to pray for our
god every day!". He showed the stone statue of Larvesta they made as a
reminder for that god in the center of the village.
83 years
ago…
They
forgot about him! Of course…
The new
generation didn't know what the meaning for the statue of Larvesta at the
center of the village was. At some point it was taken away, and eventually
everyone stopped praying for Larvesta. Ryu received this memory and understood
the real problem. As Larvesta was abandoned, he kept using Sunny Day fiercely as
revenge. It was so strong it completely changed the climate across the 110 last
years. It was lonely. At some point it used its psychic abilities to make
memories appear at the dungeon, only for the chance to someone who might come
to understand its suffering.
"Volcarona…
were you lonely?" Ryu asked by receiving the Flamethrower. "You just
wanted to be loved by humans…" she took her Pokeball. "Do you want to
meet the villagers?"
"I…
do…"
"Then
join us." She walked slowly and hugged the moth. Then she captured it with
the Pokeball.
The doctor
noticed that the Furukawas are coming. He called for as many villagers he
could, as well as for his grandfather. "Did you defeat the culprit?"
"We
found it…" said Ryu. "It was here in the village all along."
"Huh?!
What do you mean?!" raged Sam.
"The
real culprit is all of you as a community!" she summoned Volcarona from
its Pokeball.
"You
didn't kill it?!!! You are useless!" raged the doctor as well.
"Useless?!
You saw Volcarona only as a tool!" Miakko couldn't hold back. "Volcarona
won't be here to use Sunny Day anymore. That's the only thing we'll do."
"Use
Rain Dance or something! It will take years for the environment to recover from
what it did!" Sam shouted.
"Recover
from what?! From what you have done. You completely changed the environment for
you own benefit." Miakko was starting to feel pain from her anger.
"Miakko!
Calm down. They are not worth it." Waiareas tried to calm her down. The
Furukawas took their leave along with their new and scarred friend. Volcarona
rested at its Pokeball for days, sleeping for what it couldn't have done for
110 years.
"Finally!
It is the day!" smiled Shirr after she went inside the video game store.
"Oh
Shamaimrim just launched yesterday!" said Katsuya. "But are you sure
you are going to buy it?"
"Don't
worry! I've brought my Switch with me. We'll play at the evenings!"
