enough with that!" her mother intervened. "Getting into depression
will lead you nowhere. Yes, you've made a mistake; a terrible mistake but
thinking about it will lead you nowhere. Just focus about what you should do
from now on."

if you hadn't paid the fine I would have been in jail…"
"As
if I would have let this to happen!" her father said. "You are my
daughter. I am here for you. Just be better from now on."

isn't here!" some rookie policeman entered the room.
"Who

"My
name is Kiryu. I came to replace Tanimura."

He was moved into other department without informing me?!"
"Actually
no." Shun joined the conversation. "He quit. He said he wanted to
capture some girl's heart and he can't do it as an officer."
"Bullshit!
I'm Miakko's husband and look where I am."
"You
are not her husband!!! You are day dreaming!!!!" Shun tried to put Aaron
into his place.
"You
don't have to worry about that by the way!" Kiryu said. "I plan to
stay virgin my entire life. Yumi freaking cheated on me with some ugly dude
named Jingu! That bitch!!!!! All women are fucking bitches!!!!"
Brazle
reached Pallet Town. It wasn't very long since she left. She left due to Divoc
and now she is back again. It was late evening. The Pidgeot came back to their
nests to rest their wings for the night. "Brazle!" One of her friends
from school saw her "What are you doing here? I've thought you are at your
Pokémon journey."
"It
is… complicated…" Brazle didn't know what to answer. As if she could tell
she was almost put in jail due to drug dealing. "You are back from college?"
"Yeah.
Tomorrow I have a huge exam so I'm going to study all night."
The Shine
family had their family dinner. Brazle just wanted to go to bed and stay at her
room. She went to her room and didn't wish to eat for tonight.
"Brazle." Her father said "Sinking in thoughts and depression
will lead you nowhere."
"I
know…" she didn't want to talk.
"Your
uncle Kazzy has a store. I talked to him and he accepted to hire you. He'll pay
you. Rebuild your life. Forget about your mistake. Learn from it, and make sure
to never go to those roads in life."

Brazle… she stayed at her room and bed the next entire day.

are going to stay at your room your entire life you dead wrong! I'm not telling
you to work full time job at once! At least go outside for two to three hours.
Staying in your room will solve nothing!"
Brazle
opened the door. She was a mess. Her hair looked as if she was at the middle of
a tornado and somehow survived. She was wearing her pajama which was unchanged
for days. "Look at you!" her father scolded her. "What about
your Pokémon?! You didn't give them a meal this entire time! You are a Pokémon
trainer! You have responsibilities for others. It isn't just about you! You didn't
send them to Professor Oak to feed them all of those days!"
"…
Shit!!!!" she realized what she has done and rushed to feed them.
"You
don't have to worry about that." Her father said. "I already got
taken care of that."
"Dad…
thank you… I'm sorry…"
"Enough
with 'sorry'. Just do something with yourself."
"Will
Kazzy still hire me to work at his place?"
"He
still waits for you."
"Thanks
dad! I'm going!"
Brazle's
uncle, Kazzy Zino taught the basics at his store so she could work with
costumers. It was fairly easy process that took only an hour of teaching, and
she was ready to welcome costumers.
"Sex
at a casino… We've never done this…" Nog said.
"It
makes me really horny… just think about how cool at is to have a billiards rod
being stuck your ass while someone tries to play with it at the same
time…" Matoi started dreaming.
"Matoi…
billiards isn't being played at the casino…"
"Are
you sure about that?!!!! I'm going to bet on it!"
"Bet
on it… funny… because we are at a casino…" Nog said and opened the door.
"Brazle?! Why are you working at casino?!"
"It
is TCG card shop! Not a casino!!!!!" she shouted at him.
"But…
We've been said that this is a place of gambling!" Matoi said. "So
we've been lied?!"
"Yes
you were! This is just place you are buying Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh cards!"
"Yu-Gi-Oh?"
Matoi asked.
"Oh
you are interested in the game?" Kazzy came in and asked.
"I
don't know what it is, but show me the rule book and I might buy some cards if
it sounds interesting."
"Then
come with me." He took Nog and Matoi to the basement.
Tanimura
entered the card shop. "Brazle! I finally found you!"
"You
are… the policeman that arrested me…"
"I'm
no longer a policeman. I have quit… but I am the one who'll change your
surname!"
"This
is sexual harassment you know…"
Tanimura giggled
"Yeah I just don't know how to woo. I was under Aaron senpai's teaching
after all."
"What
do you find about me anyway… aren't you supposed to hate criminals? You know
nothing about me. We met for like an hour and even then I was under cuffs."
"Uh…….
Really I don't know…. I just felt like that…"
"Anyway
if you are going to stay here you'll have to buy some cards."
Nog,
Matoi, and Kazzy went inside the basement. There were there about five thousand
huge and thick books. "Impressive, so all of those are Yu-Gi-Oh ruling
books? You sure have many costumers that play this game." Nog was
impressed.
"Wait
WHAT?" Kazzy said.
"Those
aren't Yu-Gi-Oh ruling books?" Matoi asked.
"Not
'Books', it is just one book that was spilt into five thousand editions. One
book cannot contain all of the rules of this game." Kazzy answered.
WTF….
"How
come a single game has so many rules?!!!!!" Matoi shouted.
"Yeah
that's because there are so many cards that interact with other cards in
bizarre methods so you have to know the rules for them."
"How
many cards there are in this game?" Nog asked.
"Over
ten thousand…" Kazzy answered.
"But
shouldn't it be less?" Matoi asked. "After all there is a rotation of
cards. They aren't played at the same time together, right?"
Kazzy
stayed silent.
"Wait…
you don't mean…" Nog waited for the answer.
"There
is no rotation in Yu-Gi-Oh…." Kazzy said with a shame.

Give me ten booster packs!" One collector named Hammer said. Brazle gave
him the packs and the collector paid.
"Give
two for me as well!" Another one said.
"You
sure have a lot of costumers." Tanimura said.
"Buy
something or you are kicked out. Don't waste my time." Brazle said to him.
"The
only thing I want to buy is your love." Tanimura blinked in a sexy pose.
"Shit!!!!!
I didn't get the card I wanted!!!!!" Hammer said. "Give ten
more!!!!". He didn't get the card he wanted this time as well. He was out
of money. "You get credit cards, right?" Hammer asked.
"We
do." Brazle said.
"Then
give me seventy five!" he started opening the packs right after.
"Yes!!!! I got the card I wanted!!!!!!!!" at the twenty third pack.
He opened the other as well.
"Hammer!!!!!!!
You son of the bitch what the hell are you doing?!!!!!" a woman at her
fifties entered the store.
"Shit!!!!!!!
I'm screwed" Hammer knew he was going to be hit.
"Who
is she?" Tanimura asked.
"… My
mom….!"

the mom punched him.

"How
dare you waste my money on some paper with paintings!!!!"
"I'm

don't care!". Later that day the mother was arrested for child abuse, and
the bank haunted her entire family as she was at a very deep minus at her bank
account.
"Sis!
Give me two booster packs" another one said. "I can stream here, right?"
"Oh
you are the streamer that makes Temetube videos which you show the packs you
open at livestream, right? The owner told me about you. I just forgot your
name…"
"Connor!"
he answered. He paid for the cards he opened his phone. People were commenting
on his video at live time at the chat. "Today we'll open Paldean
Fates!"
'Yeah!!!

'I want to
see him getting Charizard EX!'
"Fine
chat!" Connor said to the camera. "If I'll get Charizard EX I'll cut
my dick" he drew the knife he prepared beforehand.
"Why
would you do that?" Tanimura asked.
"Hoping
increasing the chances for getting good cards." A costumer said.
"It
doesn't make any sense…" Tanimura said.
"Yeah…
The cards were chosen the moment I took the specific packs from the
shelves…." Brazle said.
"Okay!"
Connor said "Drawing! First is Fire Energy card. Nobody cares. Now for the
meat!"
'Let's
go!!!!' one commented.
"Dedenee!
Cottonee! Flittle! Nemona!" he announced the name of the cards.
'Nemona is
best girl! I simp for her!' one commented.
"Ultra
Ball! Electric Generator! Grapploct! Lanturn! Ceruledge! And finally Magmortar!
Well, this booster pack sucked, but I bought another pack, and we'll open it
right now. If I'll get Charizard EX then I'll stab both of my eyes!"
"Mister,
why is Brazle working here?" Matoi asked.
"Why
do you want to know?" Kazzy asked. "Who are you to her?"
"We
are actually her best friends." Nog answered.
"Can
you prove it? I'm afraid that I can't share this information to random
people."
"Yeah
we can. She took a photo of us having sex." Matoi answered and showed the
photo.
"Oh…
that's clearly Brazle's thumb at the photo. It wasn't changed since she was a
baby. Brazle was always homophobic, so if she took a picture of you then you
are clearly her best friends. Fine, I'll tell you."
"Let's
open the next pack! As I said, if I'll get Charizard EX I'll stab both of my
eyes."

"Haunter,
Charcadet, Wooper, Charmander" he announced the cards. "Camerupt,
Primeape, Iono, Oinkolonge, Daschbun. And our final card is……. Not Charizard EX
of course." He said without looking at the card. Like what the chances are
anyway…
'It is
Charizard EX you bitch!'

It is actually Charizard EX! I sure have luck!"
'Stab your
eyes. You promised.'

Connor tried to ignore them.

knew he can't let his channel lose subs. If that will happen he'll lose his
source of income and will never able to buy dru- I mean cards. "THIS IS

He actually killed himself!" Tanimura was shocked. Brazle was about to
pass out from the shock. Tanimura used the chance to be romantic and held her.
He gave her water as well.
"What's
going on?!!!" Kazzy rushed to the store with Nog and Matoi. "Don't
touch to corpse until the police come!"
"I'm
the polic-" Tanimura realized what he says "Shit! I'm not
anymore!" He recognized Nog and Matoi "Wait… you are… the fucking
assholes who escaped from prison while I took them away!"
"Shit!
That policeman! I'll never forget what you've done to us!" Nog shouted.
"And get away from Brazle! She is our friend! She doesn't need a psycopth
like you!"
"Friends?!"
Brazle shouted "You two gave me a trauma for my whole life!"
"Wait…
you are not her friends?!" Kazzy asked.
"But
we are!" Matoi argued.
"Never
mind him! We have a problem to solve now! Let's help our friend!" Nog said
and escaped with Matoi.
"Tanimura…
at least we share one thing in common. We both hate those psychopaths."
The blood
of the corpse kept spilling while they had their small talk….
It was
five PM. Nog and Matoi stood in front of Brazle's house. "Daddy!!!! We
came to talk!!!!"
"Who
are you?! I don't know you!" Brazle's father opened the house door.
"We
are Brazle's friends!"
Brazle's
younger brother saw them through the door which was left opened. "Brazle's
friends? Come in!"
"Boy!
Think before saying those things!" Brazle's father said. "What if
they lie? What if they are part of the gang of those drug dealers?"
"So
you are not letting us inside…" Matoi was disappointed.
"No
Matoi! Don't give up! Our goal is to help Brazle!"
"We'll
talk here. You are not going inside." The father said.
"Darling,
what are you thinking?" Brazle's mother scolded her husband "You
really want the neighborhood to hear about our problems?"
"Oh…
you are right…" the father let them inside.
"So
you are Nog and Matoi?! Those Nog and Matoi?!!!!" the mother was
surprised.
"Yeah!
We are them!" Matoi kept with the conversation.
"Brazle
said that you two gave her a whole life trauma many times…" the father
said.
"Yeah
for some reason she doesn't understand that we consider her our friend…."
Nog said.
"But
darling, these two clearly care for our daughter…"
"Honey…
I get it… I still don't understand why the come to talk us."
"Oh
right…" Matoi said. "We've heard that Brazle was part of some scandal
of drug dealing. But we know Brazle, she had a reason for that."
"She
wanted to be strong. I know. This is not a good reason for doing such a
thing." The father said.
"And
do you know why she wanted to be strong?" Matoi asked.
"We
actually never asked her, darling…"
"I
don't know the exact details, but Brazle clearly afraid from being weak. When
we met her she tried finding a rare and strong Pokémon for over a day at the
same field. This is not something a regular trainer will do." Nog said. "It
is probably connected to something at her past. Of course, I could always be
wrong as she never told me."
"Something
of her past…" the father started thinking "No… that scar from the days
she was bullied at school still haunts her?"
"We've
been dead wrong all this time about our daughter…" the mom dropped a tear.
"I'm
such a failure of a father… I never knew thought about that. I was thinking we
solved this after she met Miakko. She was so lively since after she met her,
for years… Why now it erupts again?"
"That's
probably because Miakko found her own path, without Brazle." Matoi said.
"Wait!
She isn't traveling with Miakko? She went to the journey with her!" the
mom pointed out. "With whom she is traveling with?"
"As
far as we know… with no one." Nog answered.
"All
of those months… completely alone… and then we totally broke her when we asked
her to stop with her journey. We disconnected her completely from her friends,
and even her friends from school are now at college. I have to talk to
her!" the father said.
7 PM!!!!!!
"What
a day… another day with the police…" Brazle said "I truly don't have
any luck with this…" she went outside of the police station.
"Well,
now you are not in fault." Tanimura said.
"Partly
this, but I could stuck there for whole night if you weren't with me. It sure
helps to know a policeman."
"You
look completely different from the morning. You were much more depressed earlier."
"Really?
When I think about that, you are right. Tanimura, give me your number."
"Sure,
but why?"
"I'll
tell you later. Bye!" she ran to her house with a smile.
She
reached!!!!!!!
"Dad!
Why are those psychopaths in our house?!!!!" was the first Brazle said
when she got home.
"Brazle.
We have to talk." Her father said. "Sit down."
Brazle sat
down "Wait… those psychopaths aren't leaving? Isn't this a private
issue?"
"It is.
But they are part of this. Brazle, you want to continue with your journey,
right?"
"You've
said that you won't let me. There is no need to get into it. I'm a criminal,
and this is my punishment. If not you two I would have been in jail. I can't continue.
I've accepted this, despite disliking it."
"Brazle…
we figured out what happened. We are sorry. We should have been more
understanding." The father said. "Thanks to Nog and Matoi we realized
that you got into this mess due to the search of power. But we never tried to
figure out why you wanted power so much. Brazle, why have you traveled alone
all that time?"
"I
simply didn't have someone to travel with." Brazle herself didn't even
understand the core of her problem.
"Listen
Brazle. Go pack your stuff; you are leaving tomorrow to your journey
again."
"Wait,
why did you have a change of heart all the sudden?"
"We'll
talk about that deeply at other time. You don't have much time. You have to
sleep." The father smiled. "But, under one condition; That you'll
never travel alone. Nog and Matoi suggested that they will travel with you in
order to help you."
"I'm
not going to travel with them. But, I probably have other one that will
accept." Brazle smiled.
"Wait,
who?!" everyone asked.
"My
new boyfriend."

Notes:
In order
to make the pack opening section in the chapter as loyal as possible, I used a
site that lets you open TCG booster packs digitally, just to make sure that all
rarities are loyal as possible to real life Paldean Fates booster pack. The
only thing I changed was the last card into Charizard EX.
Also,
since I didn't plan Tanimura to become more prominent character, I never gave
him a first name. So here are the full names of Taiga, Shun, Tanimura, and
Kiryu (All of their names are cases where the surname comes first, similar to
the Furukawa members)
