Hit Points, Physical Attack, Physical Defense, Special Attack, Special Defense, and Speed: Those exist in every Pokémon. Using them masterfully along with the right item, ability, typing, move set, mechanic, team balance, care and love, and of course brilliant thinking mid battle will lead the trainer into victory!
Waiareas'
and Ryu's next match was going to be against a couple of a husband and his
wife. Jingu, Yumi's husband met her while she was a child and lived in
orphanage named "Morning Glory". Yumi was in love with her boyfriend
Kiryu Takaya who works nowadays as a policeman under Aaron Blackseth. Kiryu has
never forgotten her, but Yumi did forget about him. When Kiryu saw her battles
in the League his heart shattered. He knew she was in love and married Jingu,
but he could have never imagined that she has a daughter.
"Yumi!
Did you find a babysitter for Haruka?!" Jingu was mad at his wife and
slapped her in the face.
"Not
yet!"
"Shitty
wife! Do you know we can't leave Haruka alone, right?! Our next match begins in
twenty minutes!"
"It
is not my fault! Nobody wants to miss our match!"
Jingu
glared at Yumi. Yumi knew that he is going to hit her.
"Wait!
There is one!"
"Then
why haven't you called him?!"
"That's
because… he is a pedophile!"
"Fuck..."
"What
are we going to do? I don't want a pedophile to babysit Haruka…"
"I'll
solve this…"
"This
will be good amount for us." Matoi counted the bills.
"It
is a shame we have to miss Waiareas' and Ryu's match." Nog said. "So
tell me, what we have to do?"
"You
have to keep an eye on the babysitter we've called so he won't do anything bad
to Haruka." Jingu said. "He is… a pedophile…"
"Don't
worry sir! Your daughter will be safe!" Matoi called.
"It
is a shame that Nog and Matoi aren't here to watch my parents' match. It is the
semifinals! Go Mama and Papa!" Miakko cheered for them as the match was
about to start. Jingu summoned his Torkoal, while his beaten wife summoned the
past version of Lilligant. Ryu summoned her Cinccino, while Waiareas summoned
his Sirfetch'd.
"I'll
make a schnitzel out of this duck!" Jingu called. "Torkoal's ability!
Drought!" the sky became clear and the sun shined with a massive heat upon
the field. Two people in the crowd got a heat stroke and died.
"Lilligant's
ability!" Yumi called "Chlorophyll! She will become faster in the
sunlight! Lilligant! Attack Cinccino! Solar Blade!" Solar Blade is a
strong Grass type move that has to be charged before it can be used. But in the
sunlight it will attack right away. In short, it is the Physical version of
Solar Beam. The move defeated Cinccino in one hit.
"Sirfetch'd!"
Waiareas ordered. "Brave Bird!" he ordered his schnitzel to attack
the Grass/ Fighting type with the strong Flying type move. It defeated
Lilligant in one hit. However, it was still damaged due to the recoil effect of
the move that damaged itself. That's the drawback of the move. Finally, Jingu
ordered his Torkoal to use Flamethrower which defeated the tasty duck.
"Yumi!!!!!!"
Jingu slapped her face in front of the crowd "Why didn't you switch?! Just
because you saw an easy target, huh?!"
"But
we still have more Pokémon left than them!"
"Shut
up! I'll punish you later!"
Everyone
in the crowd, as well as Ryu and Waiareas were shocked to see how Jingu treats
his wife. Kiryu was shocked as well, but didn't care in the end due to his
broken heart.
"Haruka…"
the pedophile said "do you want a candy?"
"What
kind of candy?" the eight years old girl asked.
"It has
the flavor of milk!" he smiled.
"Milk?!!!!!"
Nog punched him. "Disgusting! Pervert! Come with me!" and he took him
to the next room. "Matoi! Take care of Haruka! I'll save her!"
"Ouchi
ouch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Nog tied
the pedophile babysitter in a rope and left him at the next room. "Haruka,
is there a game you want to play?"
"So
you are my babysitter now?" she asked.
"Yeah!
Ignore the one whom your parents called." Matoi answered.
"Hmm…
then I want to play Monopoly!"
"Go!
Sunflora!" Yumi summoned her Pokémon.
"Sunflora?!!!!!"
Jingu was boiling "Yumi! I've told you to never use it! This thing is
useless! Like you are!"
"That's
the only memorial I have from "Morning Glory" and Ki-"
Jingu cut
her words "Don't dare to say his name! You are MY wife now! Forget about
him! I'm sure you were cheating on me with him when I was left to buy some
groceries!"
"I
didn't!"
"Why
do you have to use this shitty thing now out of all times?! It is the
semifinals!"
"It
is because it is the semifinals! It is now or never! If we'll use this battle I
would never be able to show my gratitude to Morning Glory!"
"You
idiot! We'll lose because you are using it!!!!!!"
"Save
your marriage issues for later! You assholes! We came here to watch a
match!!!!" someone from the crowd yelled.
"See?!
Because of you they are mad us! Shitty woman!"
While they
were fighting Ryu summoned her Volcarona while Waiareas summoned his Cetitan. Waiareas
and Ryu realized that this match is going to be their easiest match in the
League. They were battling against a team that couldn't cooperate with each
other, and against a strategy that wasn't strong to begin with. They were
wondering how Yumi and Jingu advanced this far to the semifinals. But the
simple fact was that Yumi's and Jingu opponents were much weaker than them. As
he saw their weakness, he used Cetitan as a bait to make Yumi and Jingu to
attack it, and let Ryu's Volcarona to make its move.
Ryu set
her move. She ordered her Volcarona to use Quiver Dance. This move increases
the Speed, Special Defense, and Special Attack all at once. It is considered to
be one of the best stat buffing moves of all. For a comparison; the move Calm
Mind does the same but without the Speed increase.
Yumi
ordered her Sunflora to attack the Cetitan with Solar Beam. She was certain the
move will hit, but didn't anticipate it to use Protect. Jingu attacked as well
with his Torkoal, but failed as well due to the Protect. Waiareas was right in
his decision to make Cetitan as a bait for these idiots, because at the end of
the phase, Sunflora was damaged due to its ability that increases his Special
Attack in the sun but damages it as well.
"I'm
going to buy Celadon!" Haruka declared at their Monopoly game.
"Haruka,
don't do it." Nog said. "Celadon is worth nothing after what happened
two years ago."
"Yeah
it is the most dead city in the world after Erika burned it to afar."
Matoi joined.
"Except
for Tiberias. It wasn't even destroyed and nobody wants to live there."
Nog said.
"I've
never heard about Tiberias." Haruka said.
"See?!
That's why it is forgotten and the only excuse for it to exist is the shallow
lake with the shape of a violin!" Nog proved his point.
"Volcarona!
Fiery Dance!" Ryu ordered to use the Fire Type move on Sunflora. It
defeated it in one hit. The move sometimes increases the user Special Attack.
It is the weaker version of Torch Song. But now, this effect didn't occur. Waiareas
ordered his Cetitan to use the Ground Type move; High Horsepower on Torkoal
which did a lot of damage but didn't defeat it due to Torkoal's high defense
stat.
"Do
you really think you are winning? Yeah yeah, your Volcarona is strong. But have
you anticipate this?!" Jingu started laughing "Torkoal!
Explosion!". Torkoal killed itself (for this battle of course! It is not
dead… I think…) and defeated Volcarona. It wasn't able to defeat Cetitan due to
its high Hit Points stat.
The
pedophile made some noises. Nog went to check the room he was tied in. The
pedophile was close to releasing himself. Nog tied him even tighter and shoved
the rope to its mouth so it won't make unnecessary noises. Nog returned to play
with Haruka and Matoi. "How was he released?" Matoi asked. "You
know how to use ropes properly."
"It
wasn't a rope…"
"It
wasn't?"
"From
where am I supposed to bring one? I tied him at bathroom with the shower
hose."
Ryu
summoned her Pawmot. Yumi summoned her beautiful Ninetales, and Jingu summoned
his Tyrantrum. Waiareas knew that his Cetitan is in danger. He ordered it to
use its last move for the battle and to attack first with the priority move Ice
Shard. He targeted Tyrantrum. Obviously, it wasn't enough to defeat it. Ryu
joined the assault with Pawmot's Brick Break and defeated togother the
Tyrantrum. Yumi ordered her Ninetales to attack with Heat Wave, a move that hit
both foes, and so she defeated Waiareas' Cetitan.
"I
think I hear water." Haruka said. "It is coming from the bathroom!
I'll go to shut it."
"Wait
Haruka! The pedophile…" Matoi was worried.
"It
is okay Matoi. I tied him well. Haruka you can go. If you won't come back in
ten seconds I'll go."
"Okay."
Haruka went in returned right away after shutting the tap.
"See
Matoi? The pedophile is tied well."
"He
is sleeping." Haruka said.
"What
a weirdo… who sleeps in the bathroom…?" Matoi said.
Waiareas
summoned his Skelidrige. Jingu summoned his final Pokémon, Golem. Ryu knew that
her Pawmot is going to die to Ninetales' next attack. Even if she will attack
Golem with super effective Fighting move it won't be enough due to Golem's high
defense. She had another trick she hadn't shown yet in the League.
"Pawmot! Revival Blessing!" she ordered.
"So mama
finally uses it!" Miakko said.
"I
never heard about this move. Care to explain?" Brazle asked.
"It
will revive one Pokemon that was taken down."
"Interesting…
Although I understand nothing about Pokémon battles it sounds like something
you have to save in your sleeves." Alicia said.
"It
really is. Only very few Pokémon learn this move, so most people don't know
about this move existence. We would have never known about this move if mama
wouldn't have caught a Pawmot."
"The
one I choose to revive is…" Ryu said "Volcarona!"
"Not
Volcarona!" Yumi was worried.
"Yumi
you idiot! That Volcarona can do nothing against our Golem. That's why I've
build our team with Rock type Pokémon so our opponents won't abuse our sun
effect."
"It
learns Giga Drain you know…"
"Fuck!"
With the
battle being over with Waiareas' and Ryu's victory, everyone watched the next
match of Theom and Tuuina who won and advanced to finals. Theom and Tuuina knew
that Waiareas and Ryu are going to be their hardest battle yet.
After the humiliating
lose, Yumi and Jingu returned to their room. They paid Nog and Matoi and the
two gays left. Jingu decided to calm down himself and went to take a shower.
"Ahhh!!!!!! There is a dead body here!!!!" he screamed.
"Oh.
It is my babysitter." Haruka said. "He fell asleep."
"He
is dead!!!!! Fuck! What are we gonna do?!!!!!" as soon he said that a
knock on the door was heard.
"It
is the police! Open up!" Kiryu said.
"Yumi!
You called the police?! Are you insane?!" he slapped her.
"Jingu.
Open up!" Kiryu called.
Yumi went
to open the door "What is it, policeman?"
"Policeman?!
Yumi! I know you are in love with him. You always loved Kiryu! I was second to
you!"
"I
couldn't care less about that." Kiryu glared. "It is true that I have
feeling to Yumi. But I came to arrest you on another matter. You weren't an
abusive husband, right?"
'It is not
about the corpse…' he was thinking and calmed down. "I wasn't of course.
What you've seen at our match was only once."
"Fine,
fine. By the way…. What is this smell…?" he went to check the bathroom.
"You killed someone?!!!!!"
"No!
It was Yumi! She called this babysitter! I just found him dead!"
"We'll
have to research that matter ourselves!"
"Like
the hell! You have something against me! You just want Yumi! I know what you'll
do! You'll arrest me, and take Yumi from me! Yumi is going to be with me
forever! No one will have her but me!" He rushed to kitchen, took a knife,
stabbed Yumi at her chest and neck and killed her. "I'm going to be
arrested anyway! Here! You got me!"
"Yumi!!!!!
No!!!!!!!!!!!" Kiryu cried.
